Meet Chef Joey Capri
Originally from Calabria, Italy, Chef Joey Capri brings decades of family tradition to our kitchen. Immigrating to the U.S. at age five, Joey learned to cook at his mother’s side, mastering recipes passed down through generations. In 1984, at just 16, he and “Momma Capri” opened the original Capri in suburban Illinois—earning a devoted following with generous portions and exceptional wines. Today, Joey continues to honor his roots with every dish, guided by his motto: “TO EAT IS TO LIVE WELL.”
